See Our Fantastic Florida Neighborhood!

Orlando has the nickname “The City Beautiful”, and East Orlando lives up to the reputation, with plenty of parks and natural scenery. We have nestled away from the tourism sites; in fact, approximately 12,530 acres of East Orlando land is covered with public lands or parks!

That means over 18% of our neighborhood is lush and green. One of the best ways to view and appreciate the beauty of this area is by exploring the trails of the Hal Scott Preserve, set along the Econlockhatchee River. This site has paths for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as designated spots to fish or gaze at the wildlife.

With your updated vision prescription from our East Orlando eye doctor, watch out for bald eagles, gopher tortoises, bobcats, river otters, and sandhill cranes – to name a few of the creatures who call this region home.

UCF – University of Central Florida

Thousands of students attend the University of Central Florida, which is the largest state school in Orlando. With such a lively crowd, our neighborhood features a young, dynamic, and diverse population. UCF also adds a variety of cultural attractions to East Orlando. Attend a football game at the Bright House Stadium, enjoy a performance at UCF’s Conservatory Theater, or join a film viewing on campus.

Caribbean Cuisine, and Much More!

Some of the most popular ethnic restaurants in East Orlando serve Latin American and Caribbean fare, yet the range of places to eat spans the gamut of flavors. To savor a variety of Latin-style rice, head to Lechonera Latina, or to Rice and Beans Cocina Latina, on Alafaya Trail. For Italian lunches, we love Lazy Moon Pizza, right around the corner from Dr. Bob Yip – Alafaya Eyecare. When a craving for sushi sets in, Kyoto Sushi & Grill is only a few blocks away.

Looking forward to seeing our new and returning patients in East Orlando, FL!

Conveniently located on the Northbound side of Alafaya Trail between Science Drive and Research Parkway.  We are in the Dr. Robert law Medical Plaza, right next to the orange Public Storage sign.

Honestly, such a great experience. They are fast and efficient. My appointment was a quick 30 minutes because they have you check in online like for a flight. And the staff is so friendly. They greet you with coffee and were super pleasant for my early morning appointment. My only regret was not coming here all 4 years of college. Wouldn’t recommend the UCF eye care in the union. This place is great!
